Chauffeur's fracture

A fracture of the distal radius, specifically the radial styloid. The injury is typically caused by compression of the scaphoid against the styloid. Chauffeurs were known to get these injuries from hand-cranking early cars in the event the car backfired, forcing the crank backward into the chauffeur's palm. It is also known as a backfire fracture or a Hutchinson fracture.
Treatment
Open reduction and internal fixation is often necessary.
