Stanley Thomas Anderson (born 1953) is a United States federal judge.
Anderson was born in Lexington, Tennessee. He received a B.S. from University of Tennessee in 1976. He received a J.D. from University of Memphis School of Law in 1980. He was in private practice of law in Tennessee, 1980-1983 from 1987 to 2003. He was an Assistant commissioner, Tennessee Department of Transportation from 1983 to 1985. He was a Claims commissioner, State of Tennessee Department of Treasury from 1985 to 1987.
Anderson was a federal judge to the United States District Court for the Western District of Tennessee. Anderson was nominated by President George W. Bush on September 6, 2007, to a seat vacated by James D. Todd. He was confirmed by the United States Senate on April 10, 2008, and received commission on May 21, 2008.
