Rasmussen studied medicine until marrying Rasmussen and starting a family.[1] From 1998 to 2005, Rasmussen was a city council member in Græsted, Denmark representing the Venstre Party .[1] Between 2001 and 2005, Rasmussen also studied education at Zahles Seminarian, earning a Teaching Certification.[1] Since 2005, Rasmussen has taught mathematics, physics and natural science at the Laeskolen[citation needed] at the Royal Danish Theatre in Copenhagen. Rasmussen and her husband have 3 children.[1]
