Team Facelift [1] is a New York based rap group signed to Duck Down Records. [2] [3]

The group was founded in 2004 and currently consists of it's original members, three MC's Machine, The Fat Jew, Alden Fonda, and one producer, Tommy Mas. Their sound was described by the New York Post as "a cross between Barbara Streisand and The Wu-Tang Clan" [4]
They first gained national attention when headlining MTV's "52/52" campaign featuring artists during short commercial spots in-between programming. Team Facelift was the only group to appear that was unsigned. [5] [6]

Team Facelift are known for their bizarre stage theatrics and antics, such as the use of pyrotechnics and live animals (particularly doves.) The Fat Jew is famous for his on-stage nudity, often performing in nothing but a thong and construction boots.

Their first album "Mixed Emotions" was released in December of 2006 on their independent imprint, Facelift Records, and their newest project, currently untitled, will be released in the Fall of 2009 on Duck Down Records. In early May it was announced that the record will be executive produced by renowned remixer, producer and DJ Junior Sanchez [7] [8] In late 2008 they were featured on the single "Shake That Ass" on famed producer Armand Van Helden's [9] "New York: a Mix Odyssey 2" album.

Executive-Producers for the popular show, "THE DAILY 10" on the E! Entertainment channel have selected Team Facelift to become the New York bureau of "The Daily 10", conducting 'man-on-the street, public opinion, and one-on-one interviews of the NYC entertainment scene, while adding their unique brand of color and humor to the segment.'
