Matt Suckling (born 25 July 1988) is an Australian rules footballer with the Hawthorn Football Club in the Australian Football League (AFL). Medium defender capable of winning the ball in contests and using it well, especially by foot. Re-drafted at the end of last season after two years on the club’s rookie list.

Draft history: 2008 NAB AFL Pre-Season Draft 6th round selection No. 81


He made his debut for Hawthorn in the opening round of the 2009 AFL season in the rematch of the 2008 AFL Grand Final against Geelong.[1]
