Louie is an upcoming American comedy television series that will appear on the FX network. It will star stand-up comedian Louis C.K. as a newly singler father raising his two daughters in New York City.[1]

The series will be loosely based on C.K.'s life, and will blend his stand-up material with extended vignettes depicting moments of his off-stage experiences. Louis C.K. will serve as executive producer, writer and helmer of the series, with Dave Becky also serving as executive producer.[1]

Immediately prior to the series, Louis C.K. had been appearing in the NBC television comedy series Parks and Recreation, in a critically acclaimed performance as the police officer boyfriend of the protagonist, played by Leslie Knope.[2]
