This is an old revision of this page, as edited by EvilCouch (talk | contribs) at 02:31, 2 January 2010 (→‎Speedy deletion nomination of National Japanese American Veterans Memorial Court). The present address (URL) is a permanent link to this revision, which may differ significantly from the current revision.

I would appreciate it if you took another look at external link deletion of Caan's News as another usage of glocalisation. This was added to help readers understand what the term glocal means. There were already two other examples such as craigslist and meetup.com. I'll add the caansnews text one more time as you suggested without a link but as just text. Please revisit article glocalisation and let me know if that is appropriate use of the terms. Thank you, Caansnews (talk) 03:26, 1 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Experiential Marketing

I have added one quote to the page, however when I reference it - as it should be - that reference is deleted as "SPAM"?

Why should articles not be appropriately referenced? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.96.215.203 (talk) 03:41, 30 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

It not a references, it's just a spam link. I'm not fooled. Eeekster (talk) 03:43, 30 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not trying to fool you! It is a reference from http://www.expressionuk.com/experiential_marketing.html which was added by myself. Quote is Experiential...stunts --93.96.215.203 (talk) 03:48, 30 December 2009 (UTC)Adam[reply]

Peppertones

Hey, how is an article on a major Korean nationwide newspaper not a reliable third party source? are you kidding me? And, how is winning a major music award widely recognized in Korea not a basis for being "notable"? just because there are no "American" sources does not mean it is not "notable". The internet is not just for Americans or English speaking countries.

Internet Empowerment Resolution

I made some changes Internet Empowerment Resolution. Please let me know if they are satisfactory.

Research & Branding

is a major Ukrainian Public Opinion Polling organization and ti be consistent you would have to remove a host of other Public Opinion Polling Organizations such as news corp, standard and poors, etc. You would also need to remove references to Razmov Center

You have placed this tag on the page I have created BUT you have failed to provide a valid reason to your request. If you remove this item you would have top remove many other pages of a similar notation. You are bringing Wikipedia into disrepute by your actions. Please discuss before you seek to play an obstructive role without justification.

If you apply your logic you would need to also remove the following pages.

dePRODing of articles

Hello Eeekster, this is an automated message from SDPatrolBot to inform you the PROD templates you added to a number of articles were removed:

  • PROD removed from Buk Bak, by User:Phil Bridger, with summary '(Contest prod and replace with {{unsourced}} tag. A Google News archive search shows that this is one of Ghana's leading bands, so this needs to have sources added rather than be deleted.)'
  • PROD removed from C.V. Chandrasekhar, by User:Phil Bridger, with summary '(contest prod - notability is obvious, rather than questionable, if you do a Google News archive search)'
  • PROD removed from List of SJS inducing substances, by User:Antonycarthy, with summary '(added needs citation)'

Please consider discussing your concerns with the relevant users before pursuing deletion further. If you still think the articles should be deleted after communicating with the 'dePRODer,' you may send them to WP:AfD for community discussion. Manny Marc Speedy Deletion

Sorry for clicking "submit" before I added the reference to the bottom of the page. Hopefully, the Bild article (though it's in German) corroborates the relevance of the Manny Marc page to Wikipedia.

About Spiritual Interpretation of the Large Hadron Collider

You have deleted this message: "In ancient occult scriptures we find sporadically evidences that the (ether/electromagnetic) whirlwind may emanate from evil spirits, and may be used as a kind of portal." Ok, I agree that this sentence sounds very weird in modern society, however it is only a matter of right interpretation. Learn basics of mathematical Game Theory, and Theory of Egregores. You even can not imagine how deeply the world of "legitimate science" is manipulated.

My new article

I just started the article Omnibus Appropriations Act, 2010. I'm working on getting it ship-shape. Please bear with me.

If in fact it can be verified though WP:RS that a screenplay predicting something close to the September 11 attacks was written and deposited with the library of Congress months earlier, that might be notable. And questions of notability (outside the narrow limits of A7) are decided at AfD not by speedy. This isn't a blatant ad. It may not be notable, but that can't be determined without checking for sources. DES (talk) 04:54, 27 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I see it as nothing but an attempt to sell their screenplay. Eeekster (talk) 04:55, 27 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
So I understood you to think, but it is not, IMO, a blatent enough ad to qualify for a speedy delete. You have opened an AfD, fine, lets see what comments are made. DES (talk) 05:08, 27 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Ok ;) Eeekster (talk) 05:09, 27 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not pushing anything. Why is Eeekster determined to eliminate a verifiable document that indisputably accomplished what even a group of paid "think-tankers" failed to provide, and, quoting the FBI directly, due to a "Failure of imagination" Why am I being punished for allowing others to see what is possible with due diligence and hard work? I don't get it.RENGACORP (talk) 05:16, 27 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Under construction - checkpoint save

What do you think "Under construction - checkpoint save" might mean? Pdfpdf (talk) 05:01, 27 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Must mean you can't bother providing sources from what I can see. Eeekster (talk) 05:02, 27 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
No. Try again. Pdfpdf (talk) 05:37, 27 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Just provide a source. Is that so hard? So far you've created a good number of articles today and haven't sourced a single one. Policy requires sources. Eeekster (talk) 05:39, 27 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
What do you think "Under construction - checkpoint save" might mean? To use your tone of language, your lack of reply to my question "Must mean you can't bother" to think before you type. Is it necessary for me to explain to you in detail what it might mean?
Ever heard of WP:AGF? If so, then I suggest you AGF. If not, then I suggest you read WP:AGF BEFORE replying.
Also before replying, you may wish to follow the progress of the development of the articles, starting at List of Rhodes Scholars/Complete List.
"Is that so hard?" - As a matter of fact, when you are splitting a large page, Yes, it is "so hard". I'm afraid I can only do one thing at a time, and large pages are slow and tedious to edit, which makes the process slower and more tedious.
In future, please think before you act. Pdfpdf (talk) 06:07, 27 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Just add the sources and drop this nonsense. Wouldn't that have been a lot easier than whining about getting a notice? Eeekster (talk) 06:50, 27 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
"Just add the sources and drop this nonsense." - Why don't you just use your brains, AGF, think before you act, and stop being an impatient and superior know-it-all?
"Wouldn't that have been a lot easier ... " - As explained, (in tedious detail), above, No. Pdfpdf (talk) 07:23, 27 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

UMS

While reviewing/editing an article on shipping, I came across the term UMS and found that in other disiplines it has other meanings. I added it to the list of UMS applications but did not write any further article. A UMS Certificate is a very important document determining the manning levels of modern ships. It is issued either by the state flag survey office or the Classification Society, probably the latter.

As a Marine Engineer, I can confirm that "UMS" is a term in daily use in the shipping industry. It should be inclued in the list of possible/alternative meanings. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Fenitharbour (talkcontribs) 16:00, 29 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re: references in Ricardo Mella

Hello. I added some references to the stub, and I put the {{Underconstruction}} indication. I should have done before :P... so I'm translating this article from the Spanish Wikipedia. About relevance, the character itself is relevant, it was a well known Spanish anarchist political in the early twentieth century. I hope the references was adequate enough. Any case, thanks for the advertisements. Regards! Tirithel (talk) 05:38, 30 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

If you have sources now, just remove the tag. Eeekster (talk) 05:39, 30 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your fast response and helping. Best regards ;) Tirithel (talk) 05:53, 30 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

About the tagging of this editor's first article, it wasn't vandalism, but instead a request for help and better handled by {{db-a3}}. I left her a suggestion on where she might want to go. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 05:48, 30 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I was a bit unsure but knew it had to go. Eeekster (talk) 05:49, 30 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion declined: Good & Broken

Hello Eeekster. I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of Good & Broken, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: appearing on a TV show is a borderline claim of significance, use WP:AFD instead. Thank you. SoWhy 13:27, 30 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Did it have that when I placed that tag? Eeekster (talk) 23:30, 30 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Rains

I am in the process of creating this page and updating a bit of info. Please be patient and give me a little bit of time to finilize the page. I am sorry for the crappy apperence of it at this time. I am using a previous page that was deleted, because i dont know exactly how to start a new page. Thank you. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bizzbuzz86 (talkcontribs) 07:19, 31 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

About the Tataee article

Hi and happy new year. I'm working on the article about Tataee of B.U.G. Mafia, is there any way I can remove the "This article may not meet the general notability guideline" as I've provided over 12 links already about Tataee and his solo work as an artist and producer in Romania. cutkiller (talk) 02:43, 1 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You tagged this article as a copyvio, but don't list a URL of what it's copied from, and it was so poorly written that it's hard to imagine it was copied from anything.[1] Copyright violations are serious problems on wikipedia, please only tag something as a copyvio if it is one. If you have no evidence that it's a copyright violation, why tag it as such? --IP69.226.103.13 | Talk about me. 00:27, 2 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Look again. Eeekster (talk) 01:07, 2 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Oh, sorry. Thanks. Your multiple issues tag is appropriate and needed. --IP69.226.103.13 | Talk about me. 01:35, 2 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Seriously? You couldn't just tag the section with a copyvio tag, you want to throw the baby out with the bathwater? All right. I suppose I have no choice but to make the needed changes now.EvilCouch (talk) 01:39, 2 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

You couldn't just not copy and paste? Don't blame me for your lack of respect for a copyright. Eeekster (talk) 01:41, 2 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I copied and pasted from another article on the Wikipedia[2]. It wasn't immediately clear to me that it was a copyright violation. Additionally, the lead-in was 100% my own work, making it an invalid target for speedy deletion. Scrapping an entire article when it is perfectly salvageable is unproductive and actually against WP:CSD G12. In the future, I'll take more care to make sure to avoid violating copyright and hope that you'll take more care to prune articles of copyright violation, rather simply marking them for G12. Thanks and have a good day. EvilCouch (talk) 02:31, 2 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
