Brit milah
Following a controvery in New York where two children supposedly contracted herpes from a Mohel ("circumsizor"),[1] Rabbi Tendler claimed that metzitzah violated Jewish law as it put a child's life in danger.[2] This view was rejected by the majority of Haredi rabbis and Agudath Israel of America.
