Your Love is My Drug is a synthpop song by American recording artist and songwriter Kesha Serbert, also known as Ke$ha. It's the first track from Sebert's debut album Animal. It leaked on the interned in the fall of 2009 and it can be legally downloaded since January 1, 2010. Even if "Your Love is My Drug" wasn't officialy released, it peaked at number twenty-seven on Billboard Hot 100.

Backround

The song was written by Kesha, her brother and Joshua Coleman. It tales about one of Kesha's previous romances, wich she compares with a drug.

Chart performance

The song entered the Billboard Hot 100 at number 27 on the third week of 2010. It has also entered the Canadian Hot 100 in the same week, peaking at number forty eight, altought it wasn't officialy released. It had spent a total number of five weeks on the chart in the United States and six weeks in Canada. In the sixt week of 2010, "Your Love is My Drug" entered and peaked at number seventy-five the UK Singles Chart. The next week it failed from the top.[1]
