Helegiu is a commune in Bacău County,Mihaela Badic is the actual mayor of Helegiu. Archaeological research confirmed that these places were no human settlements in ancient times.

HISTORY

        The current village was founded by merging Helegiu in 1968, the last administrative-territorial reorganization of the two neighboring commune Helegiu and Bratila. Alexander the Good, by 1400, the boyars Stroe and Ivan, because they serve faithfully.
