A large number of parties have confirmed that they will be standing candidates in the United Kingdom general election of 2010.
Parties standing in England and Wales
There are well over 500 seats in England and Wales, with the Labour Party, Conservative Party and Liberal Democrats expected to stand aside only against the Speaker in every one. The UK Independence Party, Green Party of England and Wales and British National Party are also expected to contest a large number of seats, while Plaid Cymru are likely to stand in every seat in Wales.
