The Word Alive

"The Word Alive" is is an American metalcore band from Phoenix, Arizona. Their debut EP Empire was released on "Fearless Records" on July 21, 2009. markythrills

History

Originally formed in spring of 2008, The Word Alive began as a Craig Mabbitt's (Escape The Fate) side project. By November, the band decided to become a full-time, touring project and parted ways with Mabbitt. They replaced him with "Tyler "Telle" Smith" formally of Greeley Estates, In Fear And Faith, and Emarosa. With a finalized line-up the band went in to record with Andrew Wade (A Day To Remember, In Fear And Faith, VersaEmerge) in March 2010. While in the studio, TWA announced that they had signed to Fearless Records.


Empire

Released on July 21, 2009, The Word Alive's debut EP "Empires" sold 1,845 copies in the first week which put them at #15 on Billboard Heatseekers and #10 on the Billboard Alternative New Artist Charts [1]
