Example of 80/20 T-slotted profiles, 10 and 15 series

80/20 is a framing system build around 6105-T5 aluminium extrusions.[1] 6105-T5 was chosen because it has a yield strength equivalent to A36 steel.[citation needed] The integral T-slots create the foundation for the profile's assembly technology. Accessories are also available, which are specific to each framing system. Many of these accessories are made in-house, while most of the specialty products, such as panels and casters, are made by third party companies.[citation needed]

Profiles

Both metric and inch (fractional) profiles are available.

Fractional profiles:

  • 10 series - 1" (0.5" from the edge of the profile to the centerline of the T-slot)
  • 15 series - 1.5" (0.75" from the edge of the profile to the centerline of the T-slot)

Metric profiles:

  • 20 series - 20 mm (10 mm from the edge of the profile to the centerline of the T-slot)
  • 25 series - 25 mm (12.5 mm from the edge of the profile to the centerline of the T-slot)
  • 30 series - 30 mm (15 mm from the edge of the profile to the centerline of the T-slot)
  • 40 series - 40 mm (20 mm from the edge of the profile to the centerline of the T-slot)
  • 45 Series - 45 mm (22.5 mm from the edge of the profile to the centerline of the T-slot)
