Tony Burke's portfolio

The name change from Minister for Population to Minister for Sustainable Population has been announced today, and we're already taking note of that here and in other articles (Minister for Sustainable Population (Australia) has been renamed). I wonder if we're not jumping the gun, though. Until the Governor-General formalises the new portfolio and department names in the Administrative Arrangements Order, they do not officially exist except as prime ministerial proposals. The PM cannot just unilaterally change the names of departments and portfolios and put them into effect without the GG agreeing. -- Jack of Oz ... speak! ... 07:23, 27 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]
