Merged ultramafic layered intrusion in here; this is a broader categorisation. Not all layered intrusions are ultramafic, after all. Rolinator 12:07, 24 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Rename this article

Am I the only one who thinks the name of this article is odd? It is too complex and not used in geological literature. I believe the term Layered intrusion is both simple and unambiguous. It is also commonly used and would thus be much better name for this article. The fact that this page is named in plural from is also inconsistent with typical article naming in Wikipedia. Yeah, much simpler and most layered intrusions are mafic to ultramafic anyway. So I did it ... thought about it before, so you just prompted me to go ahead and do it. Vsmith (talk) 23:47, 4 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for moving the article. I've been pondering the name of this article since long time ago, but only now got the kick to propose the new name. Sorsanmetsastaja (talk) 17:13, 5 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
