The Chick Corea Elektric Band CD
I bought this CD from a local shop when it was released and it was one of the very first CDs that I ever bought. I was about 20 at the time and mad on Hi-Fi component systems, and I'd recently bought a Denon DCD-700 CD player and needed something to play on it. When playing this CD a mysterious 'emphasis' light would be activated and I had absolutely no idea what it meant. I remember that the CD player's manual did not explain what emphasis was, only that CDs recorded with emphasis would activate the emphasis indicator! I continued to use the same CD player on and off for 15 years (I was moving about a lot and it spent some time shrink-wrapped - and still is!) and I haven't noticed any other CD activate the emphasis indicator.
