Marcus Morton

Marcus Morton was a three-term governor of Massachusetts. He was born in East Freetown, Massachusetts and later became a lawyer. He moved to Taunton where his home later became the original building of Morton Hospital and Medical Center. The Morton House was demolished in the 1960s.
