Alucard's link is undated because, thanks to his immortality, who knows how long he has actually lived. And in the future, who knows it he'll appear in a game that takes place before 1450? That's the reasoning behind that from me. Eric42 09:23, 20 Jun 2004 (UTC)

I understand, but none of the dates have represented the birth or death of the character. The dates represent the years of the games in which they are playable characters. Alucard is only playable during two years, so it's logical to have those dates. In theory any of the other characters could have games in other times. AstroBlue 10:14, 20 Jun 2004 (UTC)
However, I wanted to protray his immortality by not mentioning his time. For instance, he may be playable in only two game, but he is in at least two other games as well. His times span a long ways, almost seven hundred years. Please, I ask, don't change it again. Eric42 10:18, 20 Jun 2004 (UTC)
Understood. But it still seems silly to remove all other information including his correct name and the games in which he is playable. I don't want a revert war, but I think we should try to work on a comprimise.AstroBlue
Believe me, I've been working on it. Notice that I also have left Simon Belmont empty of the games, as I am trying to figure out design stuff as I work on it. Also, the full name of Alucard is kinda pointless. It's all in the character page, so I don't think it's needed here, which is why I changed it. But I'm still working on it the page, among others. Also, the full name of Alucard is kinda pointless. It's all in the character page, so I don't think it's needed here, which is why I changed it. In your opinion. His real name is as pointless as Alucard Tepes. But at least it's correct and not repeating information. Please, I ask you to be collaborative rather then authoritative. AstroBlue
I guess you can say that I'm a little "anal" about how things are doing to the things that I am actively editing. I have my personal quirks. But on the topic of the name, to have the full name is sorta redundant. Actually, if Alucard didn't have a bunch of stuff already (it's a disambiguation page pretty much), I would have just linked to it and put the name Tepes beside it. Keep in mind, this is just my opinion. Eric42 11:08, 20 Jun 2004 (UTC)
Being "anal retentive" in Wikipedia is just not a good thing. This is a community, not a place for you to make your own personal pages without letting anyone else contribute. I've let the "not putting the dates when Alucard is in games because that apparently infers he is mortal"-thing slide, so please let the "having his full name"-thing slide". Anyway, for Simon you could simply have Castlevania and Castlevania II: Simon's Curse. Then have Castlevania link to another page you make in Wikipedia listing all the different versions of the events of 1961. AstroBlue 11:00, 20 Jun 2004 (UTC)

I have Simon Belmont page for that, I guess you can say. Actually, I've considered putting (various games; see character page for details) or something to that effect. Eric42 11:08, 20 Jun 2004 (UTC)
How about that? I linked Castlevania to the list in the character page, and linked Simon's Quest to it's phantom link. I have an idea for Alucard that I will try out soon.AstroBlue 11:19, 20 Jun 2004 (UTC)
