Template:Infobox Victoria closed railway station Fitzroy is a former railway station that was on a branch line of the Inner Circle line in Melbourne, Australia. It was located in the Edinburgh Gardens[1], behind the Brunswick Street Oval. The station was opened in 1888, but poor patronage led to its closure to passenger services in May 1892. The line was thereafter used only for goods trains, which lasted until 1981[2]. The site is currently occupied by housing. The only remaining part of the station, a footbridge, was set to be relocated and restored[3].
