Best Ever?

I heard some dude say that Messi is the BEST EVER@ I think he is pretty damn good. Should we put best ever in the entry? I was going to do it, but I always get busted by your guys when I pull stuff like that! What do you guys think? I will edit it for free, if you think Messi is the best ever?!?!?! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.206.138.33 (talk) 20:11, 13 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

No. That would be in violation of WP:NPOV just for starters. -- Alexf(talk) 15:58, 5 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Salvio Let's talk about it! 13:12, 20 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Edit request from NOddyseus, 9 April 2011

I would like to update Lionel Messi's career statistics, as of tonight.

He has just scored two goals and an assist, and would like to update the statistics to reflect this.

Thanks.

Messi's assists are wrong

Messi has 19 league assists not 17 as of april 10th 2011 — Preceding unsigned comment added by Cory10leo10 (talkcontribs) 06:30, 10 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Edit request from Cardinalwik, 12 April 2011

It should be added that: On April 12th 2011, Lionel Messi set a new record for most goals scored in a season by a Barcelona player. Thus, surpassing the previews record of 47 goals in a season, held by Ronaldo Luís Nazário de Lima and Messi himself. Messi managed to scored the record-breaking 48 goals in just 46 games played. 4/12/2011 update request

Tonight in champions league Messi scored his 48th goal of the season breaking the single season Barcelona scoring record set by Ronaldo in the 1996/1997 season.

I would like to see this updated. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.113.242.2 (talk) 21:21, 12 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

"Playing Style" section?

Many other articles about footballers have sections on playing styles. I am not so familiar with Messi, though I do enjoy these segments in other articles. Would it be in order to have one here? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.93.179.157 (talk) 23:10, 17 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Messi's Height

Messi's height in meters does not align with his height in inches. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.5.84.113 (talk) 17:32, 19 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Sure is. It is calculated by WP's convert function. -- Alexf(talk) 20:01, 29 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Edit request from Itsupforgrabsnow, 27 April 2011

On 26 April Messi scored both goals in a 0-2 win over arch-rivals Real Madrid in the Champions League semi-final first leg. The second goal was a brilliant solo weaving in and out of the Madrid defenders and finishing in the 87th minute.

Paternal family

Hi, I'm italian, paternal family of Messi originates from the italian city of Recanati, not from Ancona. Ciao. --79.137.23.139 (talk) 00:20, 28 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

choice of word: "brace"

What is with the strange and repeated use of "brace". It is not typical football parlance, and is very distracting. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.208.196.114 (talk) 09:36, 29 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I don't know, I live in England and it's pretty common to use brace to mean two goals scored. We even have a page here, Brace (sports), which redirects to the number 2. doomgaze (talk) 19:34, 29 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]
