ISRO's MISSION - According to Its Manifesto

"Founded in 2004, the International Strategic Research Organization (ISRO) was established to advance a balanced and realistic understanding of international relations, international security, international law and Turkish foreign policy. ISRO-USAK is a non-partisan policy research organization dedicated to innovative research and analysis that promotes international security, prosperity, justice and freedom. Through publications, conferences and policy recommendations, the ISRO seeks to guide regional and global leaders in government, media and business. Under the guidance of a distinguished ISRO Science and Experts Committee, the ISRO seeks to be a scientific platform for practitioners and scholars from all over the world.

The ISRO further aims to develop international relations understanding in Turkey. The ISRO House researchers aim to establish a Turkish international relations perspective and to share the Turkish experience with the world. As ISRO, we believe that international relations discipline suffers from the limited Western-centric understanding and needs more different approaches. We, as ISRO, also aim to maintain and develop our role as advisers to Government departments, non-governmental organisations, corporates, international organisations and the media in policy areas where our expertise and the outcomes of our research can influence decision-making in the real world."

ISRO INTERNSHIP

The ISRO also organises internship and education programs for undergraduate, graduate students and non-students interested in international relations, security and Turkish foreign policy for volunteer (unpaid) internship positions in its Ankara office. An internship at the ISRO is a good way for students to learn about international relations, security studies and Turkish foreign policy and meet influential people in think tank, media, government and academic. Internships at the ISRO Center can be full-time or part-time positions depending on the candidate’s interest and the needs of the particular ISRO program. Duties differ from center to center but generally involve research, news compiling, administrative support, and event organization.
