Template problem again

I'm sorry for any inconvenience but I've got that template problem again. If you could...Thank you very much. It's the one with the stop-hand nuvola image thing. A comment by a person who has been editing Wikipedia since October 28, 2010. (talk)

Fixed the image template again. Just as before, the problem occurred because of equal signs in external links. Using 1= before the text is a workaround so it won't cause the template to act weird. This time it could not be placed right after the notice| mark. It needs to be placed before the actual text that appears in the template. Ryan Vesey (talk) 04:17, 24 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Got it. Thanks. A comment by a person who has been editing Wikipedia since October 28, 2010. (talk) 17:48, 2 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Talk page organization

I would like to help you keep your talk page organized how you like it. Would you prefer it if I posted my new comments at the top of my section or the bottom? --Ryan Vesey

Bottom would be great. You can create a new section here with 2+ “equals signs” in the heading if you like. Thanks again and sorry for the confusion on the comments thing. A comment by a person who has been editing Wikipedia since October 28, 2010. (talk) 19:07, 25 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry, I switched it, so you can coomment below the last section under “2”. Thanks, A comment by a person who has been editing Wikipedia since October 28, 2010. (talk) 00:43, 1 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Help desk question

I was referring to this John Robbins House, which is a redlink at John Robbins House. No big deal, but this House is in Rocky Hill, and the person at the help desk was responsible for the Rocky Hill Historical Society, so I thought he might have some interest.--SPhilbrickT 11:43, 28 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Got it. Thanks, I'll try to get some info. A comment by a person who has been editing Wikipedia since October 28, 2010. (talk) 23:06, 28 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

U17

Hey, don´t edit the bracket until a game is over and just update the results when the match starts and not 12 minutes before kickoff, thanks. Kante4 (talk) 20:05, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Umm, the scores can stay there from kickoff. The winners number turns bold after the final whistle. A person who has been editing Wikipedia since October 28, 2010. (talk) 20:13, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Nope, wrong. Bracket will just be edited when a game is over, update the result in the footballbox for the specific match. Kante4 (talk) 20:14, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
No, you're wrong. Now stop reverting my edits. A person who has been editing Wikipedia since October 28, 2010. (talk) 20:15, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
It has never been done this way and it just looks like the match is over and irritates some people, please stop. Kante4 (talk) 20:17, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
It has ALWAYS been done this way. It would be over if the winning teams goal# is bold. And please don't say “Nope, wrong”, it makes me feel less powered than I actually am. A person who has been editing Wikipedia since October 28, 2010. (talk) 20:18, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
We can go and check the history of past football tournaments and it has NEVER been done until match is over. U21 championship 2-3 weeks ago, not been done, last World Cup, updated when the games were over! Kante4 (talk) 20:20, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
No, you can go check U-17 history and find that the numbers were there. A person who has been editing Wikipedia since October 28, 2010. (talk) 20:21, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Just you did it and no one else, go check out the other tournaments you were not involved, good luck finding something that proves your point. Like the Gold Cup or any other tournament. Kante4 (talk) 20:24, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Umm, please stop pissing me off. A person who has been editing Wikipedia since October 28, 2010. (talk) 20:25, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Sure if you go first and stop those meaningless edits. You have no point here so you say "piss off", just proves my point and that i am right. Kante4 (talk) 20:26, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The edits are not meaningless, and I never said you were right A person who has been editing Wikipedia since October 28, 2010. (talk) 20:28, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
But you have no argument, like i said check the gold cup that ended 2-3 weeks ago and see the history. If you say "piss off" it seems like you have no point! Kante4 (talk) 20:29, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
You idiot, I said “pissing me off” not “piss off” those are different. I am checking history now. On a lighter note are all the talkbacks clogging your talk page? A person who has been editing Wikipedia since October 28, 2010. (talk) 20:31, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
It´s the same, just a bit different and yes they do. Example: 1, 2 and we can go on... Kante4 (talk) 20:33, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I have no clue what edits are in the links, but they have nothing to do with this. There not “just a bit different” and you're dismissing the discussion thinking that you won, because you think you are always right. A person who has been editing Wikipedia since October 28, 2010. (talk) 20:36, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Read again, different was meant to your piss off words earlier, check the links. A game is still running and the bracket is not updated. I know i am right here so why should i act otherwise? Kante4 (talk) 20:37, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I have been following this conversation for a while. There were some problems when you said "stop pissing me off"; however, your recent comment was a personal attack. Please remember to comment on content not contributers. I am warning you now, because if you continue to edit in this manner it will be considered a personal attack. Congrats on both of you for not violating the three revert rule. Finally, I think that the score should be left until the game is finished. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, and does not need to be updated in real time. I wish I could find relevant policy. Ryan Vesey (talk) 20:39, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Ryan Vesey, that solution should stand now. Kante4 (talk) 20:41, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Whoa, stop edit conflicting me, and “him pissing me off” is a fact. And as he said, he doesn't have a policy. RyanVesey please don't take sides and it shall not stand. Also, RyanVesey who are you talking to? Please adress the person you are talking to. A person who has been editing Wikipedia since October 28, 2010. (talk) 20:43, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
But you also said "Idiot" which is a personal attack and not a fact (ok, not always). He said his opinion and he has the same that i or many others have with not updating the bracket and should be it now. I provided you links with proving my point, you did not so it should be it. Kante4 (talk) 20:46, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Have YOU CHECKED THE LINKS? There's nothing there. UNRELATED. About a referee and 5' And stop edit conflicting me. A person who has been editing Wikipedia since October 28, 2010. (talk) 20:47, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Did you even click it? It shows that the game mentioned there is still running and that the bracket is not updated like you said/want so it proves my point. If you can´t see that i can´t help you. You need to scroll down to see it. Kante4 (talk) 20:49, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I CLICKED BOTH OF THEM. ITS ABOUT A REFEREE. A person who has been editing Wikipedia since October 28, 2010. (talk) 20:50, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I agree that the links are not specifically relevant. All they show is that you made an edit during a game that wasn't to the game results. I have found some more relevant links that involve the game score being edited at the end of the game, not after each goal. [1][2] Ryan Vesey (talk) 21:00, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Fist, I was edit conflicted four times while trying to comment here, twice with this edit. It really isn't a big deal. Second, I am not "taking sides". I am analyzing the edits and the information and offering an opinion based on my own experiences. I have worked on tournament related templates in the past and scores were not updated in real time. Updating the link in real time causes confusion by making it appear that a game has been finished and won or lost by a team. This confusion occurs whether or not the final result is bolded in my opinion. Finally, the lack of policy to back me up does not invalidate the case I have presented unless you can find relevant policy stating that it should be updated in real time. Ryan Vesey (talk) 20:51, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Are you crazy? Edit conlicts are a big deal. A person who has been editing Wikipedia since October 28, 2010. (talk) 20:53, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
In what way are edit conflicts a big deal? They can be easily resolved by either copying your post before you press save page or pressing the back arrow, copying your post and pasting it in again. Edit conflicts cannot be avoided so telling a user to stop edit conflict you does nothing. Ryan Vesey (talk) 20:55, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
That's a pretty big deal copy paste go back cut copy paste save something. A person who has been editing Wikipedia since October 28, 2010. (talk) 21:04, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
You need to scoll down on those links, it just shows an earlier edition of this article. Then you can see a match still running without the bracket being updated. Edit conflicts happen but are not a big deal just go back and copy/paste what you wrote. Kante4 (talk) 20:56, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Nobody told me to scroll down, I was only looking at the yellow/green section. A person who has been editing Wikipedia since October 28, 2010. (talk) 21:01, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I still think its a big deal. That's my opinion, and you can't change that. If you copy paste don't you override the other person? And I let your comment flow through so I can see what you said. A person who has been editing Wikipedia since October 28, 2010. (talk) 20:57, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Just reload the page and then paste it. Kante4 (talk) 20:59, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Why would I want to do that? A person who has been editing Wikipedia since October 28, 2010. (talk) 21:01, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Ryan, it is not about the edit. It´s about that a game is still running and the bracket is not updated as you can see when you scoll down, the edit made has nothing to do with it! Kante4 (talk) 21:04, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Well, you never told us to scroll down. A person who has been editing Wikipedia since October 28, 2010. (talk) 21:05, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I said it twice already or three times. Kante4 (talk) 21:06, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
(edit conflict) 3 timesI fully understand what you meant with your links. I just pointed out that the fact that the page was edited during a game and the bracket was not updated is irrelevant. I provided some more relevant links to show examples of games that were updated upon completion. Ryan Vesey (talk) 21:09, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Oh look, I was edit conflicted again... twice. No big deal. The cure to an edit conflict is that you copy your text. You then click edit again and paste your comment into the newly edited article. It is simple and it is easy. Either way it is irrelevant, there is no way to keep an editor from edit conflicting you. It is neither editor's fault if you both comment at the same time. Ryan Vesey (talk) 21:07, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Kante4 I meant when you first provided the links. A person who has been editing Wikipedia since October 28, 2010. (talk) 21:08, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Warning

I've noticed you around recently, mostly because you've interacted with some editors I have on my watchlist. I'm a bit concerned at how you've been editing. I see a lot of comments from others who are giving you very helpful advice, please make sure you follow it. Things like this seem to suggest you are not always doing that. If you cannot understand why you shouldn't have wrote that (taking into account what has been said above about your replies on the help desk, then please just avoid commenting in situations like that - leave it to users who are more experienced in how things work on Wikipedia. If you want to reply, just do so here - I have this page on my watchlist. Peter 21:11, 4 July 2011 (UTC)
