The Mutsun language is an extinct Costanoan language of California. Mutsun became extinct when the Mutsun were forced to learn Spanish. The Spanish wrote a grammar of the language Ascencion Solorsano was the last speaker of Mutsun who died in 1930. Many Mutsun people who live in California are trying to restore their language.
