Allen Stone is a Soul musician from Chewelah, Washington. He got his start singing at his father's church, however it wasn't until later when introduced to the greats of soul music (Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin) and then to the confessional lyrical fashion of the 60's-70's singer/songwriters, did music begin to ignite intense passion.

He has self-released two records, "Last To Speak" (2010) and the self-title sophmore release "Allen Stone" (2011). On the latter, Allen shows a much more refined and mature sound. Having worked with members of Raphael Saadiq's band and Tower Of Power to integrate elements of classic soul, pop, R&B and folk with lyrical content that is both personal and political.

"Allen Stone" shot up the R&B/Soul charts on iTunes, peaking at the number 2 spot, and hit #29 and #62 on the Billboard Heatseekers and R&B/Hip Hop Album charts, respectively. It has garnered national praise - USA Today called him a "pitch-perfect powerhouse"[1].

On October 26th, 2011 he performed his song "Unaware" on Conan.[2]
