Translation (ecclesiastical)
Translation is the technical term when a bishop is transferred from one diocese to another.[1][2]
This can be
- From suffragan bishop status to diocesan bishop[3]
- From coadjutor bishop to diocesan bishop[4]
- From one country's episcopate to another[5]
- From diocesan bishop to archbishop[6]
- From working bishop to honorary assistant bishop[7]
