== Surely this has got the date of his move to Sigmaringen wrong? Petain and others did not go there until September 1944 yet this implies Doriot went in 1943. All France was under German control until June 1944.

Question: Captivity / death

Hello, he was captured by 'enemy' troops in WW-1 ?! What enemy troops ? - Is it true that he was killed by RAF fighter (bombers) ? - Thank you very much, WernerE, 07/09/2005

Strafing allied fighters

Hello, it's nonsense when you say "the fighters mixed Doriot up with a german soldier, because he wore a german uniform", or sth. like that. Do you really believe it's possible to recognize that details while heading for the target in an airplane with, say, 200 mph. Allied fighter-bombers attacked communication lines deep in germany. They had very few seconds or split seconds to take an aim (like trains or lorries) and to hit it. No chance to identify the car's passengers - it was not that easy to strike such a small target at all ! Thanks, WernerE, 08/9/2005.
