Elections for Colchester Borough Council will next be held on Thursday, 3 May 2012. This is the same day as other United Kingdom local elections, 2012. As the council is elected by thirds, one seat in most of the wards will be up for election. Birch and Winstree, Christchurch, Copford and West Stanway, Fordham and Stour, Great Tey, Pyefleet and West Bergholt and Eight Ash Green are not up for election, as these wards have only two councillors each.[1]
