Wikipedia:Featured articles

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

This is an old revision of this page, as edited by Solipsist (talk | contribs) at 13:38, 31 July 2004 (→‎History: sp Devol). The present address (URL) is a permanent link to this revision, which may differ significantly from the current revision.

This page highlights some of the Wikipedia pages we think are particularly well-written and complete. However, since there are hundreds of thousands of articles on Wikipedia, we can't keep track of all of the great ones. In order to put an article on this page, it must first pass a review at Wikipedia:Featured article candidates for style, prose and completeness.

Sometimes Wikipedia has so much content on a particular topic that a single article would be unmanageably large. In this case the topic is split across several articles. These series are also included here; they are indicated with the notation "(series)".

If you see an image that appeals to you, you can list it on Wikipedia:Featured pictures candidates.

Finally, while we think these are some of our best articles, we are always working to improve them, so be bold in updating pages.

Pages that have already been featured on the front page are listed in bold. The listing of when these articles were featured can be found at Template:Feature/Archive.

To request an article to be removed from this page, list it on Wikipedia:Featured article removal candidates.
