Jean-Paul Troadec, born the 14th of October 1948 at Saint-Renan, is a French public servant. He is the current President of the French Bureau d'Enquêtes et d'Analyses pour la Sécurité de l'Aviation Civile.
Biography
Graduate from École polytechnique (X 67) and École nationale de l'aviation civile( IAC 70), he starts his career in 1972 as engineer at the certification office of the Directorate General for Civil Aviation. In 1975, he becomes responsible of the "engine and research" department. In 1980, he moves to the department "approval of equipment, pollution and noise measurements" before becoming head of the department Airbus engine and CFM56. From 1985 till 1993, he is head of the Service d'exploitation de la formation aéronautique[1]. In 1993, he is nominated head of the air traffic department. Then, till 2002, he is head of the human resources department. In 2002, he joins the Ministry of Ecology, Sustainable Development, Transport and Housing.
He is nominated President of Bureau d'Enquêtes et d'Analyses pour la Sécurité de l'Aviation Civile in 2009, succeeding to Paul-Louis Arslanian[2].
