Croatan Beach is an affluent residential neighborhood in the independent city of Virginia Beach, Virginia, USA. It is located south of Rudee Inlet and north of Camp Pendleton near the Virginia Beach resort oceanfront. Lake Christine is also located on the southwest corner of the community.[1]

Croatan Beach is a popular among locals due to the large parking lot at the south end of the beach and its distance from the main tourist boardwalk.[citation needed]

Surf schools are run by the Virginia Beach Recreation Center and Hotline Surfboards during the summer.[citation needed] Just north of Croatan Pass, Rudee Inlet is 1st Street - the start of the Virginia Beach Oceanfront.[citation needed] The East Coast Surfing Championships have been held at this location for 40 years.[citation needed]
