The Journal for the Study of Antisemitism is a biannual peer-reviewed academic journal which covers anthropological, sociological, psychological, legal, historical, philosophical, and political aspects of contemporary antisemitism.

History and format

The journal was established in 2009. Its founding editors were psychologist Steven K. Baum and attorney Neal E. Rosenberg. Its current associate editors are Kenneth I. Marcus, (Louis D. Brandeis Center, Washington DC); Florette Cohen, (College of Staten Island); Lesley Klaff, (Sheffield Hallam University); Steven L. Jacobs, (University of Alabama); Kenneth Lasson, (University of Baltimore); and Chair Shimon T. Samuels, (Simon Wiesenthal Center Paris). An issue of the journal typically features five or six major articles, several essays and reviews. Other content includes conference, research articles, review articles, and articles with graphics or photographs.[1][2]

Reception

The journal was initially mired in politics when its inaugural issue led to the temporary dismissal of board member Clemens Heni and several board members resigning for a article critical of ZfA--the Berlin Centre for Antisemitism Research. Dr. Heni was reinstated and several who resigned returned.[3]

Abstracting and indexing

The Journal for the Study of Antisemitism is abstracted and indexed on Lexis-Nexis[4] and Google Scholar and available online at http://www.jsantisemitism.org .
