Darwin College Boat Club (DCBC) was founded in 1969 by its current President, Dr Chester White. Since then, DCBC has become a successful graduate boat club in Cambridge.[1] Darwin M1 got blades in Lent Bumps 2005 and Darwin W2 got blades in May Bumps 2006. Darwin College currently has 5 boats (3 men's and 2 women's) in May Bumps. The club mainly focuses on the training of cox, rower and coach and has extensive novice training programs. It shares a boat house with Pembroke.
Recent Form
As of July 2012[update], the men's 1st VIII are 35th in the Lents and 37th in the May Bumps. The 2nd VIII are 59th in the Mays, M3 are 94th. The women's 1st VIII finished 37th in Lent Bumps 2012 and 27th in May Bumps 2012. The women's 2nd VIII is 59th in the Mays.[2][3]
