Akhtarin (Arabic: أخترين) is a town in northern Syria, administratively part of the Aleppo Governorate, located northeast of Aleppo. Nearby localities include Mare' to the southwest. According to the Syria Central Bureau of Statistics, Akhtarin had a population of 5,305 in the 2004 census.[1]
