New Player Articles

G'day, I've noticed all the great new player articles that you've made recently - are you following a list or just jumping around? I'm developing an automated excel based database/list system that makes writing stubs simple, but a couple of times I've gone to cut and paste my version and found that you've already created the article. At the moment I'm sticking to the single season players list, as it's easier to code for a single team than for multiple seasons/teams. So unless you have a particular list/club era that you are trying to complete, if you could stick to the multiple season players, then we won't be treading on each others toes too much. With over 6000 players still without pages, there's more than enough to go around! I could always jump to the 70s, no draft details makes it a bit easier too. Thanks for all your hard work, The-Pope (talk) 10:46, 10 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Sure, I'm happy to stick to multiple seasons players (using that list). I'd been going off the "List of XXX Football Club players" articles, sourced from AFL Tables, which I now see can often differ from names on the Wikiproject single/multiple player lists. It would be great if we could at least have stubs for everyone who debuted in the AFL era .. which helps towards a goal of having no more redlinks on the VFL/AFL Draft articles (except for some clubs). Cheers. Jevansen (talk) 02:34, 11 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hamilton Richardson

You made a lot of recent changes so as to directly link Hamilton Richardson to the actual article at Ham Richardson. That's fine and dandy and needed to be done but you shouldn't simply remove the name Hamilton Richardson. That is his proper name and what we use in charts and such. Next time when using AWB instead of Hamilton Richardson>Ham Richardson could you please make it Hamilton Richardson>Ham Richardson|Hamilton Richardson. That way we keep the proper name and get the proper link, and I don't have to go around correcting all the names. Thanks. Fyunck(click) (talk) 08:14, 22 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

irrelevant

You left this notice for me:

"Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Peter Everett. Your edits appear to constitute vandalism and have been reverted or removed. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Jevansen (talk) 08:18, 16 July 2010 (UTC)"

I didnt make that post and therefore your request is irrelevant. Obviously some mix up with IP addresses.

Why dont you learn some manners and simply ask if it was me rather than assuming. It would be very easy to ask and in fact would be an emotionally intelligent approach (link provided for you). 202.173.170.115 (talk) 11:17, 14 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

You'll notice that the date on the notice is for 16 July 2010. On that date, someone using what is now your IP address (see link), vandalised an article. There was no mix up or assumption. That is fact. The warning may be "irrelevant" now but it was relevant at the time. The intelligent (link provided) approach would be to realise that and simply ignore the notice. Cheers. Brad Lloyd

The page you edited recently regarding a Brad Lloyd Fan Club has nothing to do with your football player sex fantasy. If you feel the need to share some pointless information (as I acknowledge our page does as well) about some football player most people outside of Australia have probably never heard of create your frickin page man. Don't be lazy.

Better source request for File:AllenAylett.jpg

Thanks for your upload to Wikipedia:

You provided a source, but it is difficult for other users to examine the copyright status of the image because the source is incomplete. Please consider clarifying the exact source so that the copyright status may be checked more easily. It is best to specify the exact Web page where you found the image, rather than only giving the source domain or the URL of the image file itself. Please update the image description with a URL that will be more helpful to other users in determining the copyright status.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source in a complete manner. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page or me at my talk page. Thank you. Message delivered by Theo's Little Bot (opt-out) 21:24, 22 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Respect for your latest edits on those Fitzroy player pages. I can definitely endorse those, and so can the club, I'm sure.

Yeah, that seems like the best way to resolve the issue. Appreciate your thought in coming up with an outcome we can both accept. Thanks for that...
