Nicholas Whitman is an American photographer. He is best known for his work chronicling major renovations. Whitman's 2001 Mass MoCA: From Mill to Museum documents the transformation of a sprawling[1] electronics plant into the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art[2], a process also depicted in the independent film Downside Up[3]. Similarly, Whitman's 2008 book, The Colonial Theatre, showcases the transformation of the Miller Supply Company warehouse of Pittsfield, Massachusetts into a functional playhouse.[4]
