ironSource, is an online software distribution and monetization company backed by Carmel Ventures, a Viola Group affiliate. As the founding company behind brands such as DealPly, AnySend, and ClickMeIn, among others, ironSource was chosen as one of the '20 hottest startups' in Israel.[1] At the heart of ironSource, is the InstallCore platform - a market-leading installation platform responsible for over 100 million software installs per month. The platform purportedly shortens download time and eases the install experience[2].

History

Founded in 2009 in Tel Aviv by COO Tamir Carmi, ironSource provides an ecosystem for downloadable applications including aspects of user monetization, analytics, conversion, acquisition and optimization. In the first quarter of 2013, ironSource acquired Israeli advertising technology and network company AfterDownload Ltd. for $28 million to expand its integrated distribution, installation and value-building tools for software developers, publishers and advertisers.[3] The company also utilizes the C.A.S.T. native platform and MobileCore, which brings mobile application developers a similar service.

IronSrc partners with and installs products for companies including Microsoft, Citrix, Google, Spotify, Yandex, Baidu, Babylon, Symantec, Audible, Opera, and others.[4]
