These two FAMILY TREES were created by Guy Marco Sr of Katoka Village, North Rupununi, Guyana, with the help of some family members. He thought that it was / is very important for two main reasons - his late father MARTIN MARCO I was a man of love for family members and to follow the ALAYKUNA / MACUSHI tradition that children / grand children/great grand children / great great grand children / great great great grand children of the two ALAYKUNA sisters - FRANCISCA and MONICA - should NOT marry each other (those who bear MARCOS / MAC DONALDS as their last names) because thay are of same blood stream and must see themselves as extended brothers and sisters. Union is only allowed, according to tradition, between the children (opposite sex of course) of a brother/s and a sister/s of either Family Tree (Marcos or Mac Donalds) OR between the children of a male Marco/s and a female Mac Donald/s (these cousins are like a brother/s and a sister/s even though their last names are different) because it is believed that the blood is some what mixted due to a marriage to an outsider. In other words it is very important that this ALAYKUNA / MACUSHI tradition be up held and pass on to the future generations of Marcos and Mac Donalds.
The MARCOS AND MAC DONALDS of Rupununi, Guyana, Caribbean, United States of America, Canada, Europe, are the descendants of two ALAYKUNA women - FRANCISCA and MONICA WILLIAMS who were married to MOSES MARCO (Alaykuna of the Pakaraimas) and ANDREW MAC DONALD Sr, a Scotish (Forest/Medical ranger) who stationed at Karanambu airstrip (known today by Ms Diane Mc Turk and others as Macky Don).
According to IVY MARCO-MAC DONALD-D'AGUIR of Bon Fim, Brazil, FRANCISCA (IVY's mother) and her sister MONICA (IVY's aunt) were daughters of one JOSEPH WILLIAMS who had a brother name RAYMOND WILLIAMS (Pakaraimas) = relatives yet to be found.
Her father (Ivy's) - MOSES MARCO came from venezuela where the name MARCO (a Spanish name) is believed to have derived from ('stolen'/copied / taken). According to MARTIN MARCO - his grandparents came across from Venezuela many years ago/date unknown and settled in the Pakaraimas (exact name of the village yet to be researched). He had a brother name JOSEPH also. Their father name was HERMAN/FELIX = relatives need to be found.
ANDREW MAC DONALD Sr married MONICA and he brought MOSES MARCO and his family to KALENAMBǏ (Karanambu / Kalenambǐ is place where KALENAS / Caribs were forzen / sedimented / made into rocks by the powerful Macushi Shaman/ Piaiman after the Caribs broke the peace agreement which was celebrated / symbolized by a PALESHALA dance, near where Mr TINY MC TURK later established his Balata Company. Rocks can be seen during the dry season at the landing of current owner - Ms Diane Ms Turk - daughter), North Rupununi,from the Pakaraimas.
MOSES MARCO worked for Mr TINY MC TURK's Balata Company. His children Lewis(Luwe), Martin and Bernard (briefly) worked there also when they attain their adult hood.
"On 17th June, 2011, my little family - Izzat & Moni, a family friend - Tricia Fay of Florida Gulf Coast University and I visited Ms Diane. It was over thirty years since I last visited Kalenambǐ. I shared with Diane my childhood memories of her famous father, her mom and their cook 'Durch'. During one of those childhood visits her father picked me up and put me up high on bags of sugar from their vicious doverman dogs and give me some 'sweeties' in his store. I also remember seeing Mr Mc Turk for the last - on his way to hospital - when he passed through Yupukari on a stretcher. It was an honour actually of being there in the presence of a daughter of a family under whose care my late father and his siblings grew up when their mother passed away. I think she still continues her mother traditional way of serving food. She serves her guests - breakfast, lunch and dinner which are indicated by the ringing of a bell. When FRANCISCA MARCO died (buried in Kalenambǐ - in the vicinity of Macy Don) Mrs Mc TURK took care fo the children:

IVY MARCO married to ANDREW MAC DONALD Sr a while after his wife -MONICA-died. Out of this union came forth NINA MAC DONALD(Bon Fim, Brazil).

IVY and VICTOR firstly live at Mountain View / Paleshala, Rupununi, and then they moved to St. Ignatius where their daughter attended secondary school during the time of Headteacher name London. They later moved to Bon Fim as a result of the so-called Rupununi Uprising in 1969. IVY, unfortunately, is now having a vision problem due to age.

MOSES MARCO later settled at Yupukari on an invitation of his ' brother in law /cousin' - JOHN ANTON ( deceased). Grandpa Marco had his farm at ALUWA falls (where he continued to bleed balata for Mr Tiny Mc Turk), Rupununi river. His sons - Lewis and Martin followed him there and settled at Katoka Village whilst Bernard enlisted in the Guyana Police Force. Bernard and his cousin Ronald might have joined the force at the same time for Roland too is a former member of GPF ???
- Loretta Samuel-Marco (Gibson's wife) is the grand daughter of John Anton. She is also a gret great grand-daughter of John Bull (first Chief of Yupukari / Katoka) through his father - Harry Samuel (Tuwalu - Night Owl).
MOSES MARCO later moved to PALESHALA and his son Lewis and his family followed him there. MARTIN MARCO's two children - Levi and Rita - attended Palehsla Primary School briefly when it was ran by the Bretheren Church/missionaries - whilst they saty at grandpa Marco.
Grandpa MOSES was flown away by the missionaries in a single engine air-craft from Paleshala to safety during the 'Rupununi Uprising' to Brazil in 1969. He later joined his daughter IVY in Bon Fim, Brazil.
CASTRO MARCO's shop at Paleshala was burnt down by the members of the Guyana Defence Force when they reached down to Rupununi after the rebels escaped to Brazil/ Venezuela.
Grandpa MOSES MARCO passed away in Bon Fim, Brazil where his remains are burried.
