MILLENNIUM PALACE CAMBORIÚ

- Millennium Palace Camboriu is the tallest building in Brasil and one of the tallest in Latin America. The tallest in Latin America is in Chile. Millennium Palace is 177.3 meters tall and has 46 floors. (It has 45 floors to the end of the first floor of the two floor penthouse, plus the additional second floor of the penthouse, totalling 177.3 meters in height.)

- After 50 years, it is now taller then Mirante do Valle, which kept this status for 50 years.

- It is in the heart of Balneario Camboriu beach, in the State of Santa Catarina. This city is beginning to develop a tradition of building the tallest buidings in Brasil. There are various residential buildings under construction now (Sept. 2014) which until from next year forward (2015), will be taller than Millennium Palace by that time.

- Millennium Palace Residence is a luxury development project, with one of the largest (if not the largest, which the builder states it in fact is, on the last reference link posted) total investment values in Balneário Camboriú and also of Southern Brasil, due to the materials used and technology employed. It has a bold design which makes a strong statement, with it´s 46 floors and a floor to floor height of 3,5 meters (37 typical apartments) and facing the ocean.

The Development project was inaugurated on the 10th of August of 2014 in Balneário Camboriú, SC Brasil.

The building is 157.3 meters tall*** until the end of floor 45***, which corresponds to the end of the main volume of the building, or the top of the first floor of the Penthouse, or where the open pool is on the roof and where the last floor begins. Above this the Penthouse has one more floor plus the roof and the small version of the mini Eiffel tower.

With the penthouse included, plus the roof over the same, it is 168.8 M tall in height. Above this, the building has a mini tower, small replica version of the Eiffel tower at the top, on the roof below and going up. This small tower is 8.5 meters tall in height, coming to a grand total of 177.3 meters in height, which is the highest any building has ever reached in Brasil. (Mirante do Valle is 170 M tall, for example).

Date of completion of the Architectural project: Starting in August of 2008 and completing in 2009.

Inaugurated during the office of the city mayor Edson Renato Dias on the 10th of August of 2014.

• • • Observation: The height showing on the oficial site at Emporis to the top of the 45th floor is correct = 157 meters. Above this 45th floor is one more floor, which is the second floor of the Penthouse. This additional floor was not calculated in the value reported at Emporis, with the building company posting on the Emporis site only the total height of the building volume until the end of the first floor of the Penthouse. The formula thus used in this case, as some building companies do when reporting the building height, is to report until the end of the main volume of the building, or where it caps off into an open terraced roof area. Above the 45th floor is the last floor of the Penthouse, the additional floor not listed on Emporis which ends at the roof above it. Above this roof and standing on it is a mini version of the Eiffel tower, of 8.5 M in height, coming to a grand total height of 177.3 meters in height.
