Endirey or Andreyevo (Russian: Андреево, Andreevo) is a village (selo) in the Khasavyurtovsky District of the Republic of Dagestan in Russia.

Name

Former spellings of the village include Enderi,[1] Andreeva,[1] and Andreewa.

Standort

Endirey lies on the Aktash River, 45 miles (72 km) south of Kizliar.[1]

History

The village formerly had a large trade in white slaves for the Ottoman Empire.[1] It had a population of around 12,000 in the 19th century, when it formed part of the Russian Empire's district of the Caucasus.[1]
