The Normanby Rugby League Football Club, commonly known as the Normanby Hounds, was formed at the Normanby Hotel in 1947.

Normanby competes in the Brisbane Rugby League and the Brisbane Second Division Rugby League with the club playing out of Purtell Park in Bardon, Queensland.

Alex "red hair" Barnes is the current leading try scorer. James "Barnes Junior" Bannerman is currently "red hair's " understudy.

Head coach Wayne Treleaven and his superstar front row son Ryan Dornan Treleaven are working together to get this mighty team back on top thought the father and son connection.

They hounds go into the 2015 season without star winger Jack 'Lamp Post' Connor and his finishing prowess will be sorely missed. Coach Trelevan is disappointed with the lanky winger decision to play international ping pong while nursing an injured hip. The injury has effectively ruled him out of etching his name into hound dog folklore.

The hounds Northside 1 team is led around by the courageous Ryan 'slug' Currie. The natural born leader is known for his knowledge of automobiles and women, and is looking to hoist the second division trophy come August.
