Numedeon Inc. is a Privately held, Pasadena, California Based, virtual world creator. They are widely known for creating "Whyville" the online world for 9-15 year olds, which features "N.I.C.E." The Numedeon Interactive Community Engine.

Whyville has over 7.5 million cumulative registered users. Numedeon has created several different websites. Whyville, run on N.I.C.E., the above mentioned software that "Runs on a standard web browser, and can be run on a 56K modem.[1]" according the Numedeon Website.
