Singhasan (English: Throne) is a 1986 Hindi, folk film produced & directed by Krishna on his Padmalaya Studios banner. Starring Jeetendra, Jayaprada, Radha, Mandakini in the lead roles and music composed by Bappi Lahari. [2][3][4] The film is remake of Telugu Movie Simhasanam (1986); both the movies are made simultaneously by same banner & director and some of the scenes & artists are same in both versions.[5][6]

Plot

Once upon a time there were two kingdoms Avanthi and Gandhar. Prince of Avanthi Aditya Vardhan (Jeetendra) and Chief Commander Syenadhipathi of Gandhar Vikram Singh (Jeetendra) look alike. Aditya is a drunker & womanizer who doesn’t feel any responsibility about his Kingdom, Vikram is great solider & warrior who expands Gandhar dynasty four sides, but he comes into trap of Gandhar Maha Mantri Bhanu Pratap (Kader Khan) that he has done murder attempt on Princess & future Queen of Gandhar Alakananda (Jayaprada) who loves Vikram a lot, Vikram has been sent away from kingdom because Bhanu Pratap wants to capture the dynasty. There in Avanthi also goes the same situation Avanthi Raj Guru Acharya Abhag Dev (Pran) elder brother of Bhanu Pratap and leader of all the negative aspects in the both the kingdoms who wants kill Prince Aditya and make his son Urgarahu (Shanthi Kapoor) as king who has authority to become king after Aditya, to kill him he arranges a poisonous girl Chandana (Madhakini) who lives in forest whom Aditya loves in first site while hunting. People in both kingdoms suffers due to Abhagdev’s tack tick to overcome these problem Vikram establishes revolutionary team in forest. One day Golden Crown of Gandhar is Stolen by enemies team which is very powerful & protector of kingdom to stop Alaknanda’s becoming Queen, Vikram destroys this trap saves the crown from enemies and makes Alakananda Queen. One day Chandana comes to know she is poisonous girl by killing Bhanu Pratap son Kal Kethu so she wants get way from Aditya’s life to save him she try to commit secede but Vikram saves her, Aditya becomes mad of Chandana and roams around the forest being search of her, when he is in the forest Abhagdev’s gangsters tries to kill him but Vikram saves him, Aditya sends Vikram in his place and asks him to become king to set right the problems in the kingdom Vikram obeys his order and goes in his place becomes King set rights all the problems in the kingdom, after sometime Vikram keeps Aditya in his place and goes back, Aditya marries Chandana who became normal with Vikram’s help. But after some time Aditya comes into the trap of Abhagdev & Bhanu Pratap they says that he is Vikram and he killed Aditya and became king and he should be hanged. Vikram come know this he destroys all the enemies saves Aditya, marries Alakananda & “Protects Peace in Both Kingdoms”
