Drive-by editing

All of our templates have the list of earthquakes linked as their title. That's the standard, as we have lists for most countries. Only Japan and New Zealand have both "Earthquakes in..." and "List of earthquakes". How is it that you've come here and re-written the standard all of a sudden with hardly an edit summary and no discussion? Answer the question please.
