Hey thanks for leaving a comment on Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Tovo - Unified Communications about the connection between the editor name and a shareholder. It's very helpful. Below is a welcome message to help you get around Wikipedia. If you have any questions, I'd be happy to answer them to the best of my ability. Best, Pigman 23:06, 18 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

One small thing about Deletion Debates

You seem to be doing quite well so far. I would guess you've been doing some things as an IP editor because your edit summaries seem very good for a beginner. One pointer: in deletion discussions like the one you participated in above, it's generally a good idea put one of these words at the front of your contributions on these pages: Delete, Keep, Merge or Comment. For example, like so:

Humor aside, this helps people quickly assess the pros and cons of the opinions and information being expressed. There's often around 130-140 deletion debates listed every day and anything that improves an editor's ability to absorb the views and information quickly is good.

Anyway, this is a minor thing. Keep on editing. Cheers, Pigman 00:01, 19 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm working on this. I'll have it straightened out in a couple of minutes. Cheers, --Pigman 19:19, 4 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I've moved the page back and blocked User:Jklm369 as a vandalism-only account. If you have any other problems with the page, please let me know. Cheers, Pigman 19:30, 4 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A pain in the Asafedi

I get the feeling there may be some sockpuppetry at work here. See Wikipedia:Suspected sock puppets/Asafedi. Think I should take it to ANI too, or is the sock case enough? Ten Pound Hammer and his otters(Broken clamshellsOtter chirps) 00:07, 27 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re: 210.18.215.130

Thanks for the note. IP addresses can get reassigned, so the normal practice is only to block if there is recent activity. The edit pattern suggests this is the same person responsible for the previous vandalism. However, there hasn't been any activity for several days, so I think we should wait and see. If there is more vandalism from this IP address, feel free to drop me a note, or take it to WP:AIV. Thanks.--Kubigula (talk) 03:36, 28 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Responding to vandalism

If there is vandalism like that, first you warn the person on their talk page. If the vandalism is obvious, immediate and ongoing, you can report them at Admin Intervention against Vandalism. I'm still checking out the stuff that User:Bigrebel83 did to decide whether a block is needed. I've posted a warning on Bigrebel's talk page. There are a bunch of templates for giving these warnings if you want to look at them. See WP:WARN for them.

Basically, if someone is being disruptive, it's best to bring them to the attention of one of the admin noticeboards. WP:ANI is a good bet for this. While you can drop a note to an individual admin (like you did with me), it's much better to put it in front of a bunch of currently active admins to decide what to do. I didn't get your message until just now. I'm not on Wikipedia all the time and it can sometimes be a few days between my check-ins here. Cheers, Pigman 22:27, 13 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Er, and I didn't even notice that this vandalism is kind of old news from early August 2008, not exactly urgent. The account has already been blocked as a vandalism only account so there's not really anything to do beyond cleaning up any vandalism remaining. Cheers, Pigman 22:35, 13 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ivar Kreuger article

Hello Marjaliisa. By looking at your edits in the Ivar Kreuger article, it seems like you have (unfortunately) read Frank Partnoy's Ivar Kreuger book and made edits to the Ivar Kreuger article based on what you have read in this book. Partnoy's book is the most subjective Ivar Kreuger book ever written and its' whole purpose is to defame Ivar Kreuger, because of the recent years enlightenment of what really happend to Ivar Kreuger and his companies. There are other Ivar Kreuger books supported by actual documents, which claims more or less the exact opposite to Partnoy's book. Please look into those book to try to get more sources and a more objective view on Ivar Kreuger. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Gargamelik (talkcontribs) 00:48, 15 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Gargamelik: Please don't state such nonsense about Partnoy's book without giving reasons. I have just read it twice and I think it is the most authoritative book about Kreuger with a bibliography of six pages excluding minor sources.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process.
