The Stanley Cup (Lord Stanley's Cup; originally Dominion Hockey Challenge Cup) is the championship trophy for the National Hockey League, originally presented by Lord Stanley, Governor General of the Dominion of Canada, as the ice hockey challenge cup for the annual top (male) team of Canada.
