This is a list of redirects that have been proposed for deletion or other action on September 6, 2017.

Carbon emissions

These redirect to Greenhouse gas, while CO2 emission and CO2 emissions point to Carbon dioxide in Earth's atmosphere. I think these should be retargeted to the latter target, but my knowledge of the science is not necessarily great, and these have been in place for 10 and 11 years respectively without any issue, so I'd like to gauge consensus. – Arms & Hearts (talk) 16:32, 6 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

FARC

First, I apologize if this is not the correct forum.

But the issue is, FARC was moved to Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia without discussion, despite the common name being FARC. As far as I can tell, this was done to make room for a political party formed in 2017 named FARC.

So, what are opinions on the page move? Is the redirect fine? Or should there be a dab page for FARC and the 2017 political party? ‡ Єl Cid of ᐺalencia ᐐT₳LKᐬ 12:59, 6 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

The Great Experiment

Delete. This confusing redirect was originally created as an "R from move" when the creator got the album's name wrong, but now serves to redirect users looking for "The Great Experiment" to the wrong place. Racial differences in crime

Delete as misleading and confusing, and something that should be a redlink so an actual article gets created. The target (which is up for renaming here because "Race and crime" is intolerably ambiguous) is not about the general subject of "race and crime" nor about the narrower but different one of "racial differences in crime", but is entirely about racial disparities and bias in the criminal justice system. We actually appear to have no article at all yet on alleged racial or ethnic differences in criminality; the closest I can find is passing mention at Statistical correlations of criminal behavior, and the academic discipline of biosocial criminology (i.e., trying to figure out if there even are any such differences). Last I looked, the scientific consensus was that crime rates are a socio-economic matter without any proof of a genetic component. Redirecting a title about whether such a connection exists to a page about minorities being prosecuted a lot seems very unwise to me, and could even be taken for some kind of "we can't prove it but they sure go to jail a lot, so it must be true" implication. Given the frequency with which people make race-and-crime connections – which has shot up recently along with the increase in the US, UK, Greece, and other places of jingoistic populism and white nationalism – we clearly need a WP:FRINGE-compliant article on the subject, not a bogus redirect to the wrong page.  — SMcCandlish ☺ ☏ ¢ ≽ʌⱷ҅ᴥⱷʌ≼  04:52, 6 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

"List of battles (YEAR RANGE)" redirects

All of these redirects target subpage that do not match their respective timeframes, and are this misleading. Since there is no target that matches their timeframe, they should all be deleted as inaccurate. Steel1943 (talk) 09:11, 23 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
