Eunice Yoon is China Bureau Chief and Senior Correspondent with CNBC based in Beijing.[1] She is host of the network's feature program Inside China and contributes to NBC News and MSNBC[2]. Previously, Yoon was a correspondent and anchor with CNN in Hong Kong and Beijing.[3]

Career

In her current role, Yoon reports on pivotal events in China such as U.S. President Donald Trump’s 2017 visit[4] and the rise in power of President Xi Jinping[5]

During her career, she has covered many major news events including the disappearance of Malaysian flight MH370 [6]and the sinking of the South Korea Sewol ferry[7]. She was one of the first journalists to reach the Sichuan earthquake zone in 2008[8]. Her reports on the Asian tsunami in 2004 ensured she was part of the team that won a prestigious DuPont Award[9]. She has received numerous nominations for the Asian Television Awards and won a New York Festivals Silver Medal in 2014.[10]

Yoon holds a Bachelor of Arts degree with Honors in political science from Brown University[11] and graduated magna cum laude. She is an alumna of Phillips Exeter Academy.
