The Links, Incorporated is non-profit, international organization. Founded in 1946 by ten African-American women in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, The Links has a diverse membership of 15,000 women throughout 288 chapters in forty-two states, as well as The District of Columbia, the Bahamas, and the United Kingdom.[1] The Links is known to be the oldest and largest female volunteer organization dedicated to serving African-American issues, centering upon civic, cultural, and educational ventures.

Beginnings

Founded on November 9, 1946, by a group of women known as The Philadelphia Club. The purpose of The Links, Incorporated is to participate in subjects related to the African-American diaspora.

The official flower of The Links, Incorporated is the white rose.
