Jesar State

Jesar State was one of the small princely states of British India. It was scattered over a total area of 1.25 sq miles and was one of the twenty six states that formed up the Pandu Mehvasi in the former Rewa Kantha Agency.[1]It was ruled by Sarvaiya Rajputs, who are claim to be descendants of Sarvaiya rulers of Amreli and founders of Hathasni, Und Sarvaiya apart from Jesar. The Savariyas were the bhayad[disambiguation needed] of Chudasamas.[2] The capital was Jesar.

in 1943 Princely State of Jesar was incorporated as a part of the Baroda Agency and they paid tribute to the princely state of Baroda. It was a non jurisdictionary princely state. After the independence of India on 15th August 1947, the princely state of Jesar was acceded to the newly formed Union of India and is now part of Bhavnagar district of Gujarat.
