The Normanby Rugby League Football Club, commonly known as the Normanby Hounds, was formed at the Normanby Hotel in 1947. Arguably Brisbane’s most successful amateur club, Normanby Rugby League Football Club has won twenty Premierships in five different Leagues over the years and is thought to be the only club to do so. These include trophies in Shiftworkers’ League, Commercial League, Metropolitan League, Public Service League and Brisbane Second Division. With an average of one Premiership in every 3.45 years, the club’s record is the envy of many others. This is a tribute to all the great players, the foresight of the administrators, the support of the families and the wonderful long-term supporters of this great club. The Normanby Club is a real survivor. The Club will reach a milestone of seventy-five year's history in 2022 and in the current climate of professionalism that will be an extraordinary achievement. In the past seventy years not only have we seen the disappearance of the Shiftworkers’, Commercial, Metropolitan, Church and Public Service Leagues, but we have seen the demise of many once proud clubs. Hamilton Cities, SGIO, Queensland Newspapers, Police, Firefighters, Brisbane City Council, Taxation, DPI, Main Roads, CUA have all gone, to name but a few. However Normanby still stands strong. This is a tribute to those who have gone before and who have built such a strong foundation on which this proud club now stands.

Normanby R.L.F.C. Premiership Record A record of the finals appearances for the Normanby R.L.F.C. since the club first entered a Premiership Competition in 1950. Up until 2018, the club had contested Premierships for a total of 69 years for 20 Premierships. This equates to one Premiership every 3.45 years! A remarkable record indeed.
